Well , what else do we need to hear. There it is Americans sodiers dying for what ? Iraqi ? Freedom? Muslim? This American soldier and all the other American Soldiers are risking and dying for these pieces of shit and here at home we get the same poltical crap shot in our face by CNN and the left wing liberal media. This does nothing, but help to fuel the anti American view and our involvment in this war. Everytime an American idiot journalist spues the polital spin on this war, anti American momentum is gained by the very enemy we are fighting. If we were unified as Americans and all stood together less American would die.

cc36...it is obvious you have no idea what you are talking about so let me give you a quick lesson. In Iraq, women are treated like property! A man other than their husband cannot talk to them unless she is given permission. Women are below men and are treated like crap! So for this SOLDIER to call them women is one of the worst insults you could give them other than showing the bottom of your shoe! So before you start talking about how we need to bring the troops home if we talk like this you need to realize the context of what is being said here and not be so critical of a SOLDIER who is trying to protect his troops and the people of Iraq!
Rad site! I'm a fiscally conservative, socially liberal, atheist from LA. Like most I don't like the killing of anything for killings sake. I hate loudmouths. But, anyone with a brain and a little information on the war in countries inhabited by very inefficient and/or unprofessional indigenous people can understand immediately where this guy is coming from. If you recognize desperation in his words, give him the benefit of the doubt, his men are dying in the name of making Iraq a more stable country. As for the "woman" comments, this is likely a tactic which will cause an expected response from his target demographic and completely defensible and recommended for any chance at yielding results. cc36, your comment is off topic and poorly rendered. You need to see past the words of someone engaged in battle and realize that you don't see their actions and thus shouldn't comment. Overall the speech was great, high emotions, pointed and aggressive. Only reco I would make is; more of them, a lot more of them and kick up the professionalism of the delivery. That said, I'm no expert warring muslims and a demographic, so I could be wrong. I do however, imagine that these guys hold a grudge when pissed off and in terms of manipulation, it might be counter-productive given that they answer to ineffectual leaders. Tough sit, great job!
Unless you have actually fought in combat and have any clue what you are talking about then don't waste your time commenting on this or any other wartime video because anyone that has served knows exactly what this guy is talking about. So just go back to whatever you were doing and let the big boys and girls fight for your freedom that you take for granted so easily!
First, to all those whom have served our country, thank you! However, if you claim this video is "motivational," I ask that you stop and consider all the women who have served this country as well! Perhaps, think of the mothers who raised you, or your wives who take care of the home front so you can go. Are they not heros, too? I don't see motivational speaking here. I see a man who is very weak, using cursing to hide behind. I see a man who shows VERY little respect for the women of his own country. I have been a huge supporter of the military, but after seeing this and reading some of your comments, perhaps we need to pull the troops home... we still have a war of equality to fight here!
I served three tours in Vietnam as an Army Ranger.I saw the same thing in Vietnam.I retired from the Army in 1992.I was in Desert
Shield and I hoped and prayed that the United States of America
would NEVER get involved with Iraq or any other Middle East country. When are we going to realise the obvious and leave?
"Bush lied, Troops died" what a crock of sheet! Just in case you forgot, it was a BI-PARTISAN UNANOMOUS decision to go into Iraq. So Pelosi, Kerry and the rest of the libitards had the SAME information that Bush did and they ALL said SEND EM! But now.....many years later, the libitards are chanting in lock-step "Bush lied, Troops died" LMFAO! Silverfox, your a joke. You havn't the fortitude to stand for anything. You should, instead of bumping your gums against what you know nothing about, be saying THANK YOU!
Yes, chill out!!! The middle east does NOT want stability. Our men and women are getting killed for people who want to keep living in that crap hole. If they wanted stability, they would be fighting with our troops not against them. It's a lost cause.
Chill Out? This NCO is squared away and men like him will bring stability to the Middle East. I have dealt with Arab officers in the field who, at the end of the day, are pussies - "ruck sack too heavy me no carry". This video clip is prophetic as to what will happen when the US leaves IRAQ; CHAOS. Silverfox- you are a pussy liberal who enjoys freedom purchased by men better than yourself - enjoy it while you can.
Maybe everybody just needs to chill out...People should support troops even if you don't support the war. But people should also understand that being a soldier in this war is a CHOICE, this is not like Vietnam, where men were drafted. Now don't get me wrong, I know the sacrifices they make (I have a family member in the Marines and one in the Army), but I also know that they were not forced into it. But on the other hand, I don't feel that the troops should be wasting their time with useless individuals like the ones in this video. It's obvious those people want to keep living in the shit hole they're in now. Troops should be allowed to just move on.
You spent all that time and all those words trying to refute something I never said. I never said a word about WMD. Not one. So WTF were you going on about?
My problem with GWB is that he lied to you and everyone else about Iraq being connected to 911. Did you get that? 911. Not WMD. He implied over and over that Iraq was a war about 911 and he convinced 90% of all the enlistees that they were going to fight the 911 terrorists. You and all the rest were duped by that very deliberate lie. Every poll taken of US troops found that the major reason for signing up was to go fight the terrorists of 911. When in fact, Iraq had zero, really less than zero to do with 911. Sadam hated Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda and would not even allow them in the country. Iraq was our only friend in the Arab world as far as fighting al Qaeda but Bush lied about that over and over again. I bet you that even today if you ask our troops there if Iraq was responsible for 911 (not just having something to do with it) and the majority still think they were. This is the lie that our bravest and best died for. It is time to face the facts.
militarymike....Abso-fuckin-lutely! It's a shame that you men and women in the Armed Forces have to risk your lives for a bunch of lazy, worthless shitbags like that. I just want all of you who serve to know that I appreciate each and everyone of you and if you're ever in my neck of the woods...dinner and drinks are on me trooper!
I served in Iraq in 06-07 at a little shit hole just to the west of a well known landmark outside of Bahgdad..........won't tell you more than that because there are still comrades-in-arms stuck there dealing with the same shit bags I dealt with. This video is representational of several things. First of all, this squad leader is a smart motherfucker. How, you ask? Because he is using the one of the only ways to get through to a bunch of lazy, beat down, backstabbing bitches..... by calling them women. It is a sad state of affairs that we live in a world that pays lip sevice to equality in one hand, while we berate those that use it as a tool to enforce our beliefs....... the other way to motivate Iraqi men is to accuse or inferr that they are little kids or acting like little kids............and yes it sounds really fucking deplorable doesn't it???? You know what else is really fucking deplorable??? Nick Berg getting his fucking head cut off for being an infidel, but hey, religious tolerance is pretty cool, huh??? You fucking pussies, yes pussies, don't even know what the fuck you are squandering............its all thanks to you............I wonder when your idealistic approach to life will start to pay off for all of us??? I cringe as I write this, knowing that its not going to do any good.............my venom, but at least I live in a country that allows me to have my say..........at least for now.
TO ALL THOSE LIBERAL AMERICAN FAGGOTS WHO HAVE NEVER SERVED, WHO DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO HAS SERVED, OR HAS NO FAMILY THAT HAS EVER SERVED THIS GREAT NATION THAT THEY FIND PEACE AND SAFETY IN EVERY MORNING THAT THEY WAKE THEIR PUSSY ASSES UP IN, FUCK YOU, SUCK IT, YOU TOO BELONG IN THAT FORMATION WITH THE OTHER PUSSY FAGGOTS OF THE 3RD WORLD, SURVIVAL OF THE FITEST AND ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE, SO IF THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO YOU, THEN GET ON A BOAT AND HEAD EAST, FAR FUCKING EAST WITH THESE CAMEL JOCKEY ASS CLOWNS. GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY THAT SO MANY GREAT AMERICANS HAVE DIED FOR, IF YOU DON'T GET IT NOW YOU NEVER WILL. YOU (PUSSY FAGGOTS) ARE THE REASON THERE IS A PUSSIFICATION OF AMERICA MOVEMENT TAKING PLACE AS WE SPEAK. DO ME A FAVOR, GET IN YOUR CAR, STOMP ON THE GAS AND WHEN YOU REACH 100 MPH, FIND THE NEAREST TREE OR WALL AND MEET IT. YOU ARE NOT WORTH THE SACRIFICE AND HONOR THAT IS AROUND YOU AND THAT IS LAID TO REST IN MANY PLOTS AROUND OUR NATION. WAKE THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING BASTARDS. I AM WITH THIS SOLDIER ALL THE WAY. KISS MY ASS PUSSY ASS AMERICANS!
So, I just started to read some of the comments posted about this video and find it funny how divided the US can be... about a video. I also saw an individual by the callsign "Ftheusa" and their opinion is respected as should everyone's. However, I spent time on a MiTT training an Iraqi unit of 800 people and found myself, at times, thinking "why am I here?" I was told to do it and I did. I chose to serve in the military and defend the rights of ignorant people like the above callsign. If this soldier felt the need to say what he said all bets are off in combat. The political side ends where the metal meets the meat. Yes, the IP live there, but if the agreement was made that we are to train them then they need to honor it as we are and do their job. If delicate sensibilities are damaged by the vocabulary then turn down the volume or look away. Or how about develop an understanding that unless we were there, we have no clue of what he was going through and let it go. Kinder and gentler mentalities will find out how kind and gentle things can be if someone in their family gets taken, tortured, and killed.
silverfox.... i would love to meet you in person. i'll bet you are one of those pussies that thinks everyone should do everything for you. you are obviously not in the military, and if you are let me know what unit you are in, i wont waste my time coming to find you but i'll be sure to let anyone who works with you how you really feel about them and the sacrifices they have made. that ought to be fun huh?? so since you have never served this great nation a day in you life i would suggest that you shut up. do your research before you post here. watching the news is not research.
SGMRET... great post. i like you way of thinking!!
Okay, I've had about all of Silverfox I can take. It is painfully obvious to this old Vietnam Vet that the Silverfox has no idea what he is talking about, probably got all his "talking points" from moveon.org or some such other shit site or "news" outlet. As for my Commander-in-Chief being a liar about WMDs, that is totaly fuckin bullshit, or as a friend of mine says "pelosi" (he refuses to say bullshit, just says pelosi - his friends all know what he means). Silverfox, and the rest of you nimrods who believe Saddam had no WMDs, read this - but before you do, hear this. I had a conversation with a LTC from the Iraq Army in the summer of 2003. He told me he helped move WMDs (gas and biological) from Iraq to Sudan. No reason for him to lie about it and no reason for me to doubt it. Okay, now - read this and tell me again how W lied. It's a little long, folks like Silverfox either won't read it of will choose not to believe it and that's okay, we all know there is no need to cloud their mind with facts.
"I think you owe to yourself to at least read the MSNBC website article from AP that is the first reference
site listed at the end of the following message. I had certainly not seen this article before.
A national defense analyst says President Bush should be commended for keeping quiet about a discovery that could have blown
his critics out of the water.
Retired Major General Jerry Curry is a decorated combat veteran who served as an Army aviator, paratrooper, and Ranger during
a military career that began during the Korean conflict. He recently wrote about a very under reported story by the
Associated Press.
According to the report, a large stockpile of concentrated natural Uranium, known as "yellowcake," reached a Canadian port to
complete a top secret U.S. Operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad, and a ship voyage crossing two oceans.
The Uranium material had been housed at a former Iraqi nuclear complex 12 miles from Baghdad.
Curry says the president kept mum about the discovery in order to keep terrorists in the dark. "He made a very brave stand, a
resolute stand..., in which he decided that he wasn't going to blab everything to the press," Curry commends. "...And in the
meantime while he kept it quiet, he was buying time from the terrorists to get all that stuff out of the country. So that's
what was done -- he just very quietly kept his mouth shut."
"The press beat him to death for the last several years," he continues, "and now it turns out that, yes, there were weapons
of mass destruction...." Curry also maintains that Saddam Hussein had an active nuclear program and the material could have
been made into a nuclear weapon.
President Bush's actions took courage, he notes, and all Americans should be thankful to have such a brave president who puts
the welfare of the American people above personal considerations.
On July 5, 2008, the Associated Press (AP) released a story titled: Secret U.S. mission hauls uranium from Iraq. The
opening paragraph is as follows:
The last major remnant of Saddam Hussein's nuclear program (a huge stockpile of concentrated natural uranium) reached a
Canadian port Saturday to complete a secret U.S. operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad and a ship voyage
crossing two oceans.
See anything wrong with this picture?
We have been hearing from the far left for more than five years how Bush lied. Somehow, that slogan loses its credibility
now that 550 metric tons of Saddam's yellowcake, used for nuclear weapon enrichment, has been discovered and shipped to
Canada for its new use as nuclear energy.
It appears that American troops found the 550 metric tons of uranium in 2003 after invading Iraq. They had to sit on this
information and the uranium itself for fear of terrorists attempting to steal it. It was guarded and kept safe by our
military in a 23,000-acre site with large sand beams surrounding the site.
This is vindication for the Bush administration, having been attacked mercilessly by the liberal media and the far-left
pundits on the blogo-sphere. Now that it is proven that President Bush did not lie about Saddam's nuclear ambitions, one
would think that the mainstream media would report the true story. Once the AP released the story, the mainstream media
should have picked it up and broadcast it worldwide.
That never happened, due in large part, I believe, to the fact that the mainstream media would have to admit they were wrong
about Bush's war motives all along. Thankfully, the AP got it right when it said, "The removal of 550 metric tons of
yellowcake, the seed material for higher-grade nuclear enrichment, was a significant step toward closing the books on
Saddam's nuclear legacy."
Closing the book on Saddam's nuclear legacy? Did Saddam have a nuclear legacy after all? I thought Bush lied? As it turns
out, the people who lied were Joe Wilson and his wife.
Valerie Plame engaged in a clear case of nepotism and convinced the CIA to send her husband on a fact finding mission in
February 2002, seeking to determine if Saddam Hussein attempted to buy yellowcake from Niger. The CIA and British
intelligence believed Saddam contacted Niger for that purpose but needed proof.
During his trip to Niger, Wilson actually interviewed the former prime minister of Niger, Ibrahim Assane Mayaki. Mayaki told
Wilson that in June of 1999, an Iraqi delegation expressed interest in "expanding commercial relations" for the purposes of
purchasing yellowcake.
Wilson chose to overlook Mahaki's remarks and reported to the CIA that there was no evidence of Hussein wanting to purchase
yellow cake from Niger.
However, with British intelligence insisting the claim was true, President Bush used that same claim in his State of the
Union address in January of 2003. Outraged by Bush's insistence that the claim was true, Wilson wrote an op-ed in the New
York Times in the summer of 2003 slamming Bush.
Wilson did this in spite of the fact that Mayaki said Saddam did try to buy the yellowcake from Niger. The Senate Select
Committee on Intelligence disagreed with Wilson and supported Mayaki's claim. This meant nothing to Wilson who was opposed
to the Iraq war and thus had ulterior motives in covering up the prime minister's statements.
It was a simple tactic, really. If the far-left and their friends in the media could prove Bush lied about Hussein wanting
to purchase yellowcake from Niger, it would undermine President Bush's credibility and give them more cause for asking what
other lies he may have told.
Yet the real lie came from Wilson, who interpreted his own meaning from the prime minister's statements and concluded all by
himself that the claim of Saddam attempting to purchase yellowcake was "unequivocally wrong." Curiously the CIA sat on this
information and did not inform the CIA Director, who sided with Bush on the yellowcake claim. This was made public in a
bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee report in July 2004.
Valerie Plame also engaged in her own lie campaign by spreading the notion that the Bush Administration outed her as a CIA
agent. Never mind that it was Richard Armitage - no friend of the Bush administration - who leaked Plame's identity to the
press. Never mind that Plame had not been in the field as a CIA agent in some six years.
The truth is, due to their opposition to the war, Joe Wilson, Valerie Plame, the mainstream media, and their left-wing
friends on the blogo-sphere engaged in a propaganda campaign to undermine the Bush administration. Now that Saddam's uranium
has been made public and is no longer a threat to the world, do you think these aforementioned parties will apologize and
admit they were wrong?
Don't count on it.
The rest of the American people should hear the truth about Saddam's uranium. It is up to you and me to inform them.
As far as the anti-war crowd is concerned, the next time they say that Bush lied, we should tell them to "have the yellowcake
and eat it too."

You seem more rational than the average responder to this video but you are still off-base on a lot of things. You urged people to stick to the topic of the video and then in a rather long post, never said one thing that was related to it. But that aside, you made some patently false statements and should not be allowed to escape without being reprimanded for it.
You said that the topic of the video is the effort to help Iraq get back on its feet but you know perfectly well that this video addressed no such thing. It was an ego-centric rant by someone whose main goal was to humiliate people he clearly had no like or respect for. So many others like it because they share his hatred for the Iraqis, and they have said as much in their comments. So let's just call a spade a spade.
You seem to believe and I think it is your honest opinion that the longer we stay in Iraq, the more they will like us. You said as much in your post. But all the polls taken in Iraq and all the reports (even your own) show that this is not true. The people were happy to see us in the first days and it has gone downhill in a major way ever since. Why? Because there are people like the guy in the video for one thing. Our presence in Iraq has been a total disaster as far as winning the hearts and minds of the people. We revitalized the radical Islamic movement, drawing tens of thousands of them into Iraq where they trained and learned the techniques and technologies of insurgency. Iraq had none of this before we were there. But regardless, we have become more hated by the Iraqi people every day and very few want us to stay there. We are the enemy in Iraq now. But you think that we should push on until "the job is done". What job would that be? Training police to be good Iraqis by calling them a bunch of pussies? Ok, we are good at the name-calling part, I will grant you that. But in the process we recruit more and more to the cause of the insurgents.
As to your defense of Bush's deception, I am shocked that you defend politicians who deceive by saying that all politicians deceive. Well, even it it were true does that make it right? And when the lie, is the result ever as insidious as convincing our young people to go fight a war and die under false pretenses? I don't think so! In my mind, this was the most criminal and despicable deception of any American politician ever. It makes me sick to think of all those who gave their lives thinking that they were fighting for their country and to avenge the attacks of 9/11. You say that those who lost their lives knew what they were walking into. Oh sure, like anyone who goes to war for the first time knows what they are walking into. No one knows until they get there. But if what you meant is that they knew that they were not fighting the people who attacked us on 9/11, they you are just wrong. 95% of all servicemen and women who went to Iraq thought that they were going to fight the terrorists. And I would bet that if you took a poll today that you would find that the percentage is still greater than 50%. How did they get so completely fooled? We both know the answer, don't we? Duped by the Commander-in-chief! Give me a goddamn break. I cry for those brave soldiers. But I seethe with anger at the bastard who conned them into going there to meet their deaths years before their time.
I've skimmed over some of the comments on this video, and there are just a few things I'd like to say.
First, I'd like to request that people ease up on the use of the word "liberal" like it's a dirty word. Liberal Americans are still Americans, and liberals have served and died for this country, too. My uncle, a liberal American, served 18 years in the United States Army, and is today a disabled veteran.
Second, for those of you who are talking about how "Bush lied," or who feel compelled to divert the topic of this video to 9/11, I'd like to take a moment to point out that the topic of this video is not 9/11, but the current effort to help Iraq get back on it's feet, to help instruct its own citizens to defend it so that our brave soldiers can come home to their families and stop risking their lives to defend another man's country. The soldier in that video is not thinking about 9/11. He is thinking about doing his job. He is thinking about serving his nation.
Here's the thing that a lot of people don't consider: it DOES NOT MATTER if you agree with why we went to Iraq or not. The deed is done. It's too late now to argue about whether or not it was the "right" thing to do. Firstly, morality being subjective in nature, nobody will ever be able to definitively answer "right" or "wrong" on the subject. Secondly, even if you want to assume we went in for the wrong reasons, WE ARE THERE NOW. Our men and women are there. We can't leave until we finish what we started, or we'll only end up with a situation that will cost more lives. Everyone who has ever served in the military, who has ever studied strategy, or who understands the first thing about human psychology understands that. If we do not finish this, we will only leave a cesspool of rage behind, and that sort of passion stirs motivation in people. Without a target for aggression, it will only lead to blind fury targeting the first thing to come to mind: the people who just left. You think soldiers are dying for nothing now? You wait and see what'll happen, then. As far as "Bush's big lie" goes, Silverfox, I'd like you to take a long, hard look at politics, and then show me the last president, the last governor, even the last MAYOR, who did not use well-tailored speeches to evoke emotion in his or her constituents. It's a basic tactic. That's why you always follow up a political speech or argument by researching the facts. Do you really believe those soldiers didn't know exactly what they were walking into? I assure you, they did. You do a disservice to the men and women of the American military if you think for one second that they don't understand exactly how the military works, and exactly how the country works. They knew what was going on before they went, and they knew why they were going. I do not agree with when we chose to enter Iraq, but do I believe it could have been avoided forever? No.
I never liked Bush for president. I never will. However, regardless of what he did or did not do, what he did or did not say, he WAS the President of the United States, which DID make him the Commander in Chief, and if you are dissatisfied with how he performed the job, be grateful you're living in a free nation, and then go do it yourself or cast your vote for someone you believe can do better.
Silverfox and matthouston...your comments here have led me to believe you are both sleeper cells... you may not be true terriost, plot against the US, or want to cause harm to Americans.... But everything the two of you have said here are unamerican...you are the true disgrace of this country....move to Afiganistan or North Korea because you don't belong here...You disrespect my country and my president..and i'm talking about 43...
silverfox you should really do some research about things before you start posting here, you voted for Obama didn't you??
This soldier has my utmost respect...His image is exactly what it should be as a soldier in the US...."THE AMERICAN BAD ASS"..
Nothing against what anybody did in the early 90's but was Desert Storm really a war? And I got beef with anybody who has a problem with this video..An and me and "THE AMERICAN BAD ASS" will bring it to ya anytime!!
Another one of your stupid comments matthouston..We went to war with Iraq because we had intel that they were attempting to gain WMD, and if you think for one minute these people didn't want us there...look at all the celebrating back in 2003 when we toppled the Saddam regime...And the people we are still fighting today may not be Al Queda but that have the same beliefs the terriost of 9/11 had, if you don't think that's something worth fighting for then you sir have disrespected your country and your armed forces...perhaps you would be happier joining the Taliban, since you seem to have those beliefs...And let this true "AMERICAN BAD ASS" tear you apart
Mr. matthouston59, you're quite the big man behind your keyboard, calling this soldier a prick like that. Real bright too - yes he did 'choose' to do this, and he would've taken a bullet for you.
Btw, you're quite the war hero yourself with your 3-day little party in desert back in the day. It must have been painful to see the flyboys do all your work for you - I can understand why'd you be jealous of this man.
Go ahead, type some more insults and spread the animosity around. That's easy. This guy's job isn't easy.
We are not making anyone hate us, these are backwards people that now would rather see us dead than alive, but it was a different story when Saddam was alive they were less than animals we liberated them so they might have a fighting chance to be free, something you think is a bad way of life
Why do we insist on imposing our culture and way of doing things on the Iraqi people? They don't want us there. Would you tolerate allowing someone to speak to the way he is speaking to them? I love and honor our military men and women (only he seems to hold women in very low esteem) only this is a culture we do not understand. We are only making them hate us.
If our so - called leaders in DC had half the balls of this guy, we would all be a hell of a lot better off! This is REAL leadership. And if you find it offensive or shocking, perhaps that is because you have never been exposed to real leadership.
The time is now, America....Reach down and grab a fucking pair of balls. There are only two kinds of people in the world....leaders and followers. Stop being sheep. Lead, God damn it!!!
Aloha ALL!
If you approve of the comments, stand strong on your convictions.
If you disapprove of the Soldiers comments then you are, in my humble opinion, the source of all that's evil in my world!
You have never stepped up for anything other than to be the first turd in line to clap the erasers for the teacher and earn a few more brown-nose points towards your "Student of the Week" award and a gold star beside your names on the behavior chart!
Alas....this video is a run of the mill day in the world of a warrior. Each and every day, you are faced with providing for the care and feeding of a leacherous, parasitic society that cares not for your idealogy or your hopes for their freedoms or your dreams of little girls going to school and not being ass raped by their older brothers (who by the way, are being forced into by their father)!
If you do not fathom the thought of someone who is tired of living on the edge for people who don't want anything more than your money, clothes and all the donkey
Did your time in Iraq inform you about who was responsible for 9/11 or if Iraq had the first thing to do with it? That IS the topic of discussion. Serving in Iraq informs you about serving in Iraq but tell you not one thing about whether Bush lied about Iraq's connection to 9/11. I hope that you don't mean to tell us that those kids who died thinking that they were avenging the terrorists of 9/11 were not victims of Bush's big lie. Why aren't you enraged about that? You should be pissing mad that the those brave young men and women fought and died for something completely different than what they thought and were encouraged to think they were fighting for. I know that it takes guts to stand up to your commander-in-chief, but it is cowardly to ignore the obvious truth and to accuse the truth-tellers of not being patriotic. Get some backbone, people!
So what if he has lost in college wrestling. Look at him now. At least he has the guts to come out and say what he really means. Guys like this remember their past and mature for the best, like most of us do when we go through meaningful experiences. As for saying things wrong about our country ,in this day and age, most of you who are saying something wrong about this country are the enemy and have infiltrated this site with anonymous screen names to put terror into the U.S. You are the real terrorists, you are the ones who are hiding in this post, you are the ones causing a stir, you are the ones causing us to disunite. Patriots and people of the U.S.A. , be aware of this infiltration starting in the media...let us become the great nation that we were so patriotic about during the World Wars where our brothers and even sisters gave up their lives. Stop blasting this nation and stop pointing fingers at our nation. Lets start by removing from office those who are weak and feeble in defending our beloved country, the U.S.A.
well lets put it this way..... if you have not served in Iraq, then shut the fuck up about it. you havent been there, you dont know what its like, and you dont know what is really going on in that country. watching the news or reading the newspaper does NOT make anyone a subject matter expert so just shut up. and if anyone wants to tell me that my brothers and sisters have died for nothing but a "scam"..... come say it to my face. and see what happens....
You are right that Bush never said that Iraq was responsible for or connected to 9/11 in so many words. He never said that specifically because he knew that was not true. But he connected the two by association. In every speech leading to the war he first reminded us that we were attacked on our own soil and within one or two sentences said that we must go to Iraq to fight the terrorists. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the people in the US are not like you. They don't think for themselves or do their own research. How else could they have been deceived about the non-existent Iraq-9/11 connection. That happened because Bush was beating the war drums while shouting 9/11, 9/11, 9/11! It is a classic propaganda ploy to make people believe something without saying it in so many words. According to all the polls, you are in the very small minority. But 9 out of 10 enlistees fell for Bush's trick and most people in the service STILL think that they went there for 9/11. WTF?
To Wingnut who says that I hate America, you are dead wrong. I love my country but I hate that my American brothers and sisters were deceived by their president and that so many died for a monstrous lie. I just hope that more people will start to be like phisingguy2000 and listen and read for themselves. Even though he thinks I am wrong Bush misleading the country and about what I think was Bush's real motivation for invading Iraq, at least he is one of the few who realizes that there was never a connection between Iraq and 9/11. I salute him for thinking for himself.
At ease Teanut. Let's aim for more constructive criticism like our warrior friend in the video. Catdog... Where to begin?? The "misinformation" you speak of is your own, I'm afraid. I'm curious of what gives you the impression that Sadaam Hussain "took care of his people"... Unless you're referring to the MASS GRAVES that we continue to find today, Sadaam is internationally recognized as a confirmed sponsor of terrorism and a tyrant to his neighbors AND his own people.
As for users like "ftheusa"(a.k.a. lostinthesauce), who clearly lack any personal experience in motivating others in a FIGHT FOR THEIR LIFE, this is called a gut check. You might consider performing one on yourself. Personal pride is the first step in taking ownership for your own national indentity, much less the defense of your nation. In this case, there's nothing like having your manhood insulted to get your blood pumping. This is a GOOD thing. If you listen closely, what he's daring them to do is respect THEMSELVES and serve their country and community with honor and integrity. Don't rely on glossy magazines and mainstream media for "prepackaged" insight. Do your research and build your own, and you'll likely be surprised by what you discover. Semper Fi.
Catdog must be married and kin to all non-rated pukes.
If you have no respect for a president who had loads more respect and care for soldiers in our military than the current POS who wants soldiers injured in combat to handle their injuries through private insurance, then go elsewhere and take Obamallah with you.
I grew up in the military and married into the military. All of your debate will get u nowhere on the internet. All i have 2 say is Bush is an asshole and our servicemen/women should not have to pay 4 his actions. Have not met anyone who likes Sadaam... but he did a good job of taking care of "his" people and we killed him. I am very proud of our military but I also believe they are misguided and misinformed on the facts. We should not have 2 stay and guide a country that is not willing 2 be guided. We need 2 worry about guiding our country and rebuilding our future. Or did u forget we r in a economic meltdown?????
Shut up already you liberal windbag! We get it, YOU HATE AMERICA! And nothing anybody tells you here is going to change your mind no matter how off base you are. The only one youâre impressing with your leftist rhetoric is yourself. So letâs move on.
I think I saw several other videos on the site where insurgents opening fire are taken out by US military personnel. You can tell us how they are innocent victims that were just misunderstood, and that Bush owes their family restitution. Fucko!
I watch the news and listen to talk radio all day long as I work and come home. NEVER have I thought we went to war with Iraq because of 9-11 or connections between Saddam and Al queda. We went there because of Resolution 1441, look it up bozo. To say that is what Bush said to get us there is absolutely rediculous. He might have offered a theory but NEVER, EVER did he say that the 2 were connected, EVER! It was made clear as day that he violated UN resolutions regarding WMDS, period, end of story. Silverfox will tell us next we went there for oil and for Isreal. Wheres my cheap oil?
So you are picking a nit over "believe it is likely Saddam was personally involved" and "thought he was responsible"? Ok, if you think that is an important distinction, whatever. How did I know that he knowingly lied? Because he knew that Saddam hated bin Laden and al Qaeda. Because he knew that al Qaeda was barred from entering Iraq. Every analysis, every study, every report on 9/11 made it clear that Iraq was not involved in 9/11. Everyone knew, except for the average uninformed American citizen. It was never even debated. It was common knowledge. So when Bush implied that Iraq was involved with 9/11 he had to know that it was a whopper. Eventually he admitted that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. But he only did so years after implying the opposite over and over again during the buildup to the war. No, it was never like WMD, a subject of conjecture. It was just a bald-faced lie that he told over and over and was never called on by the cowardly media, at least not until it was too late to save the poor deluded service men and women who volunteered and spilled their blood based on Bush's deception. And forget Republican and Democrat. This goes so much deeper than partisan politics. This was a capital crime of horrendous proportions. This was even worse than President Johnson (a Democrat, if you didn't know) fabricating the excuse for escalating the war in Viet Nam. If you are one of the many who bought into the 9/11 story, you are going to have to face the cruel fact that you were duped by your own president. I am sorry but it is true.
Actually silverfox, to quote your own source, "Nearly seven in 10 Americans believe it is likely that ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the Sept. 11 attacks". You, being, as i would imagine, a typical democrat, purposely misinterpreted the data presented. Never did it say that 7 out of 10 americans thought saddam was responsible. And tell me this, how do you know that George Bush knowingly lied about saddam being involved in 9/11?
I found the article I was looking for. It says that a Zogby poll showed that 85% of service men and women were delusional about the connection between Iraq and 9/11. Here is a quote from the article:
Of those surveyed, 75 percent had served multiple tours in Iraq, 63 percent were under 30 years of age, and 25 percent were women.
One surprising finding in the poll is that 85 percent of those surveyed believe that the US's main mission in Iraq is to retaliate against Saddam Hussein for his role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. Numerous commissions and studies have been unable to find that Iraq played any role in the 9/11 bombings. Meanwhile, 93 percent said that they did not think that removing weapons of mass destruction was the reason they were in Iraq.
It is very hard with this kind of evidence to deny that our service men and women were tricked into enlisting to fight and, in some cases, to die in Iraq under false pretenses. If you know someone who died thinking they were avenging the 9/11 bombers, you should be irate. If you enlisted thinking you were avenging the 9/11 bombers, you should be irate - because you were lied to to make you believe that. This was George Bush's most heinous criminal act while in office.

Silverfox, the declassified Vinona project proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that lefties in the Democratic party are communists. But I'll bet you still run around saying McCarthy was the bad guy don't you. All the little commies packed up and went to the riviera for a decade to hang out with Pablo Picasso until the whole thing blew over. Who gives a crap about G.W. Bush. He's history now, and farther to the left than conservatives are willing to put up with today. We are in Iraq and listening to your sewer pipe isn't going to change that.
TCO, It wasn't the WMD issue that George Bush deliberately lied about and about which I wrote. It was the lie that Iraq and Saddam Hussein were responsible for 9/11. It was his constant association between the two in every speech and every press conference leading up to the war that stoked the patriotic fervor that gave support to the war. But unlike WMD, he knew that that he was telling a lie. There was never any expert or anyone in any intelligence agency or political party who thought that Iraq had anything to do with 9/11. But the average person didn't read intelligence assessments. He listened to the President of the United State. Bush strongly implied that it was Iraq who attacked the US. He single-handedly convinced tens of thousands of young people to enlist for that very reason - to revenge 9/11. Thanks to his deliberate deception, 70% of Americans polled in 2005 believed that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11 (http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2003-09-06-poll-iraq_x.htm). And the percentage was even higher among enlistees (I lost the reference but I think it was 90%). In any case, this was the big lie, not WMD, that convinced our young people to go and die in Iraq. It is the lie for which GW Bush should be charged and tried found guilty of murder. It is the lie that was deliberate and calculating and, unfortunately, all too effective.
Hey Silverfox, you're ignoring the fact that all these Dem's saw the same intelligence that the Bush administration saw. If they disagreed with the conclusions about WMD, why didn't they vote against the war then? No political courage? Or simple revisionism now? Everybody, including the Clinton Administration and Saddam's own generals, thought he had WMD. This crap that "Bush lied, people died" is just another mindless left wing slander.
I applaud this solidier's efforts. Sometimes, especially in WAR, speeches like this are needed. His use of explicatives while maybe heavy but needed. He is tired of the nonsense.("I give it to them dirty and it sticks"~G.S.Patton) War is not for wimps. If we are to ever get out of the middle east we are going to need tough, no nonsense leaders to the GET THE JOB DONE.
This Video is AWESOME!!!!To all the "Move on.Org" Kool Aid Drinkers.... Put up or shut up. If you think the military is so bad than get off you Dead, Doped up, Latte drinking Ass,go and buy yourself a plane ticket, to any of these peaceful Country's that the Military is terrorizing. Set up a meeting with all of these peaceful terrorists, and dictators, and ask them nicely if we can all just get along. If your lucky enough, Nancy Pelosi will let you use her private military plane to get there, you don't even have to spend your dope money. Please don't fret, our little Peacenicks, Our new president is your new Messiah, and he will make life all better for you. He's already disposed of the term "War on Terror", and "Enemy Combatants." Soon there will be enough government money out there for you stay home, watch MSNBC, with your Flip Flops on, and smoke enough dope to take all of your pain away; for free.....
All US military and private contractors must leave Iraq and Afghanistan immediately, as well as all other bases around the world. The world does not need the USA to be the world's police anymore, not that that was the real reason for US intervention around the world throughout history, that was for the interest of the corporate profiteers, not for freedom and democracy. Think like an Anarchist- Live like a Pacifist, Peace!
I for one agree with this young man. If everyone in this country had the balls and the attitude that he has, we wouldn't have any problems. You libs are a bunch of pussies IMHO. Americans are giving there lives everyday for these cowardous bastards. Get with it libs or move to Iraq!
I agree with Silverfox. What kind of twisted minds would tolerate this type of insensitive treatment of our allies? I think the President should include funding for sensitivity training and anger management for this soldier and all of you who are on active duty in his next trillion dollar Swindle-Us Package. Perhaps some of these Iraqi men are scared because they suffered some childhood trauma like the time in 2nd grade when they got passed over for "Student of the Month". Why can't we just start teaching them yoga to reduce stress or get them into some kind of therapy so they can open-up and let out their fear and anger? After some good manly blubbering, I think they would make great peace officers.
In all seriousness, Silverfox, you can't have had any direct personal experience with Middle Eastern men. Yelling, testosterone-laden threats, and the questioning of another's manhood are part of the daily routine. It's a cultural thing and sensitive guys like you are supposed to be "culturally aware." I had a "persian" housemate who never had a conversation with any of his compatriots that didn't involve all three of the above. It shocked me at first until I realized it's all just their way of smack-talking and none of them take it personally. Go to to any playground in America and see how kids talk to each other. Have a good cry over that and maybe you'll feel better.
Obviously silverfox is a shit stirrer and a moron. Pussies like him dodged the draft in Nam and left people like my best friend who recently passed away to go and fight in his place. Exactly like the man in the video said, because silverfox and others like his sorry ass are too PUSSY to pick up a weapon and fight for their own rights. I happen to be disabled and a fat bastard, but I would pick up a weapon in a second and kill for my country even though about 50% of the population doesn't deserve my blood sweat and tears. I am an American and fuck any one of these pussies that doesn't bleed RED WHITE
Silverfox... It is more than obvious that you have never served in any branch. I may however be assuming on that. Regardless it is even more obvious you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about, so do the rest of us here a favor and close your your fucking fuckhole. Until you have spent time in the suck dealing with these fucking retards on a daily basis you have NO RIGHT to open up your piehole. Sometimes the best way to really reach the stupid and make sure they understand the information you are dealing is to give them a real good skull fucking. After that you would be surprised how reseptive they are to the information. Unfortunately for the rest of the world we don't live in your frilly fucking powderpuff world where everyone loves one another. We REAL soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines have to put boot to ass from time to time. So again SHUT YOUR FUCKING STANK ASS MOUTH!!!! Thank You.
P.S. If this shoe fits your foot than put it on. If not have a nice day!!!!
To all who agree this is the best damn video you have seen in a while kudos! As for the rest of you bleeding heart liberals, realize you can sleep well tonight dreaming of Unicorns and Butterflies because straight talking tough bastards like the Stud in the video and the rest of us who are serving or have served. We are out there protecting your retarded asses so you might want to think long and hard about what it is you are going to say before you sit down to post a comment. Remember without guys like that we would just be another France!
As for the rest of you dumb asses posting comments about non related issues (this video) shut the F*
I'm an old liberal and all of these references about how we got into this war are probably right. So what. We're in it now and we ain't leavin so get over it. This soldier wouldn't make a good president but I'd go with him into a fight in an instant. He gives a shit about his soldiers and doesn't care if he has to insult some Iraqis to get them to do their jobs.
Siverfox, I fight for your constitutional right to express your opinion. "While i don't agree with what you say, I will fight to the death for your right to say it." -Peter Griffin. However, in this case let it be known that you are a retard. Pick up a rifle and stand a post.
In June 2008, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released the final part of its Phase II investigation into the intelligence assessments that led to the U.S. invasion and occupation of Iraq; this part of the investigation looked into statements of members of the Bush Administration and compared those statements to what the intelligence community was telling the Administration at the time. The report, endorsed by eight Democrats and two Republicans on the Committee, concluded that "Statements and implications by the President and Secretary of State suggesting that Iraq and al-Qa'ida had a partnership, or that Iraq had provided al-Qa'ida with weapons training, were not substantiated by the intelligence." The Chair of the Committee, Senator John D. Rockefeller IV (D-WV), commented in an addendum to the report, "Representing to the American people that the two had an operational partnership and posed a single, indistinguishable threat was fundamentally misleading and led the nation to war on false premises." I feel terrible for the families and friends of Americans who were tricked into enlisting on false premises and who then died for a lie. It is a horrible shame on the past president of this great country.
Sorry, smb, you are wrong. In the lead up to the Iraq War, U.S. President George W. Bush alleged that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and militant group al-Qaeda might conspire to launch terrorist attacks on the United States. The consensus of intelligence experts has been that these contacts never led to an operational relationship, and that consensus is backed up by reports from the independent 9/11 Commission, declassified Defense Department reports[1] as well as by the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, whose 2006 report of Phase II of its investigation into prewar intelligence reports concluded that there was no evidence of ties between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda.[2] On April 29, 2007, former Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet said on 60 Minutes, "We could never verify that there was any Iraqi authority, direction and control, complicity with al-Qaeda for 9/11 or any operational act against America, period."[3]
That was George Tenet speaking, head of the CIA. If you have information from a more authoritative source, post it here now. Here are the sources for the above information. You can read them for yourself.

Silver Fox doesn't know what he is talking about. It has been proven from the decryption of the hard drives on the computers over there that the Iraqi Secret Service was in direct contact with the people who flew the planes and actually helped in the logistics of said suicide pilots from 9-11-01. Sorry, but read it from the Wall Street Journal.
This guy rocks, when i was in the Marnies we trained with Royal Saudie Marnies, and they where lazy as hell, we tried to teach them simple tasks to dig fighting whole's, patrols, etc. after 5 min's tops they wanted to take a break, this guy nailed it, sorry to say but there all lazy over there, but they want are help. Thanks for the Video wish i could voted higher then 5!!!!
I am a Navy wife from Japan. My husband served an IA tour in Iraq. Anyway, I was so depressed to see these policemen because they don't do anything for their country and they don't have pride. My thought is this: Why not let the Iraqi women become police officers. I'd bet oppressed women would be fierce. They would show those guys what real attitude and motivation is like. Thank you for sharing this video.
I'd pay money to hang out with that guy...he's F**%#$G one hell of a soldier and i respect that man. He is 1000% correct and he should be fixing our economy! I bet he'd fix some of those folks ass in Washington and Wall Street!!!!!!!
I am just curious if silverfox has ever been to iraq and shot at by these cowards? Because you kinda sound like you would be entirely too soft to have ever been there.
This guy should be president! Don't "second-guess" someone until you have a "first-hand" experience at what he is doing. If another country came here to help us get rid of scum that was destroying my country, I would learn all I could to fight. If we had people here terrorizing the US and another country was willing to give us the tools to take back the US, they would be my friends forever! I would honor them and always respect them!
This is EXACTLY what they need I am sure this was because of some events that happen in the past, that is why he is talking to them in this way. You say human nature is human nature when you humiliate someone and insult them they don't become what you want them to. Wrong!!! You obviously have never played a sport at a high level or been in the military. Itâs called motivation!!! By the way itâs because of people like him that you can post your little comments online and sleep safe in your beds at night not worrying about someone cutting your head off or someone you love not coming home at night which happens everyday over there. You have no idea what goes on over there IED are planned by the police (Iraq) most times or someone that we (U.S.) are working with to help that country. Stop listening to the news and all the disgruntle ex military soldiers that couldn't handle it and learn for your self what is really going on over there. Start by talk to a terrorist and find out the true reason why they don't like us, I did. Then come back and see how open minded you are about talking to them in a nicer manner.
I want to send a thank you letter to this guy. I'm just glad someone said this. Anyone who has been to Iraq knows this is exactly what you want to say after a few months. This guy said it. I felt better just watching this.
Silverfox... just how much gentle handling do they need? We have been there for years. We have been training them for years. I'm sure they've been kind, gentle, stroked their fragile egos. At some point you have to tell them straight up how it is and that is exactly what this man is doing. He knows whats up and is calling them out on it. It sounds like you haven't been over there so you don't have any idea what it's like. Like he said, "Till you main up, shut the f*** up!"
Aircav6: You say this is exactly what they need, but do you honestly think that this kind of insulting tirade will change them for the better? Human nature is human nature. When you humiliate and debase and insult someone, they are not inclined to become what you want them to. They are inclined to hate your freaking guts and to become the opposite of what you want them to. This guy is a disaster for the health and safety of American troops. It is BECAUSE of people like him that they become IED planters. We are breeding the next generation of terrorists with an undying hatred for America and Americans, thanks to people like this. He should at the minimum be relieved of all duty that involves communication with Iraqis.
This is EXACTLY what they need. But most of them are cowards just like he said. They are only tough to the weak. They sneak around and IED people and get other's to sacrifice. They need to straighten their own country out. If they won't help themselves then they are not even worth saving. We never should have gone there to help them. Just use hydrogen weapons. 3000 degrees celsius will fix the problem.
captmark: What ever gave you the notion that Iraqis had thing one to do with 9/11 (I assume that is what you meant by the 2700 Americans killed). Didn't you know that Iraq was the only country of all the Arab countries that had less than nothing to do with 9/11. Saddam Hussein hated Osama Bin Laden and al Quaeda. He would not even let them in his country. Germany is where the attackers plotted the attack. Most of the attackers were Saudis and Yemenis. The financing came from Dubai (the country Bush tried to contract with to guard our home ports AFTER 911). There were lots of countries that had connections to 9/11, but there was no connection whatsoever to Iraq. That was the big lie that George Bush told to get people fired up for the invasion. So many young people have died thinking that they were fighting against the perpetrators of 9/11, but they all died for a lie. It is George Bush's greatest shame.
Try to imagine yourself back in your home town and an Arab nation (just for example) has invaded the U.S. and the occupation troops that are trying to get you to do their bidding are loud, obnoxious, cursing, and insulting. And they are belittling you in front of your friends and neighbors, calling you a pussy, and whatnot. Would this make you want to a) get out and do what the Arabs want you to do to the best of your ability? or b) kill the stinking sons-a-bitches the first chance you get? You know that the answer is b), and why would these people be any different? Come on people, use your heads. This is not the way to motivate proud citizens of a foreign country. It might work in boot camp where you have a bunch of young kids that need to be broken before they can be whipped into shape by the drill sergeant, but it is totally inappropriate and counter-productive in this kind of situation. This guy is probably personally responsible for the deaths of American soldiers, purely as a result of his outrageous behavior. We need better training of the people who have his kind of responsibilities. Hell, any training at all in how to work with people in foreign cultures would be useful. This just makes me really sad.
Like military tactics, verbal and motivational tactics and speeches have to be tailored to the audience - just as in any presentation. One of the biggest issues that us in the West have is thinking the rest of the world is like us in our very safe and secure/compartmentalized/sanitized make-believe world. We constantly hear our politicians and political leaders, past and present, talk endlessly about how we are a nation and society of laws and must abide by them. That works well in a group or society that has a similar common basis to operate off of. But the rest of the world is not like that. Most of the world only recognizes strength - who can beat the crap out of someone else and thus control resources and situations. If you even remotely doubt this, look at past world history - Africa, Asia, the Middle East, even trying to get things done in France via the French legal system.
The Asian/Middle East culture recognizes and respects strong leaders, perhaps because as many have noted here their culture seems to create lazy, indolent men that subjugate others, those they think are weaker. So, when a leader comes at them strongly, speaks in a manner they understand that we in our own indolent, lazy, PC concepts think is offensive, the reverse effect happens. They are fired up and now want to prove themselves to this leader, to prove that he's wrong, that they are better and are men capable of succeeding.
Until our political leaders start to understand these global societal differences from our own we will ultimately continue to make mistakes that cause lives, mistakes that could have been avoided.
There are many solid and brave Iraqi soldiers and police, and there are many that are not - just like the rest of humanity. Their religion and culture may preclude some to take the easy way out but there are those that truly want to make a positive difference. But 1 year, 3 years, 5 or 6 years, even 10 years doesn't make a permanent change. Generations have to be re-educated. Look at Ireland and the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Only with the improving economic times of the 1990s did the violence and the IRA start to wind down. The British success in Burma (Myanmar) took decades. But if a stable and relatively open environment is created in Iraq, with these soldier's and policemen's help and effort, then over time we may see a societal and cultural change that does accept some form of rule of law over rule of might. But there are never any good, solid, lasting quick fixes to ANY situation.
There's is nothing like the feeling you get when you totally dominate someone. These Iraqi police have been pussified from birth. The only "man up" they know is blow their own ass up with a suicide bomb. When they learn to dominate their enemies and are willing to die for what what's right, then we've helped them. It is going to take a hell of a lot more speeches just like this one to get these leftovers motivated. Next step, DECIMATION.
mongo56 seems to be uninformed about history and peoples. The Vietnamese were not Arabs. They were tough soldiers on either side of the DMZ. Don't forget that Nixon and the Democrat Congress pulled us completely out of Vietnam in 1973. The tragedy was that the liberal Democrat Congress then voted to cease ALL support for the South Vietnamese--no bullets, no beans, no blankets, no dough. Yet the South Vietnamese were still able to defend their country, standing alone on their own, for two more years against the Socialist North Vietnam, which was a fully subsidized Soviet client state, and their Soviet Russian sponsors. Some of the inland tribes fought to the death against the socialists' genocidal campaigns. The Iraqi Arabs are a different people. But if they can pull it together and do even HALF as well as the free Vietnamese did they will be okay as long as Democrat politicians don't betray the Iraqis the way they did the Vietnamese.
Leave the political correctness for the politicians.
These American soldiers are on the firing line. How can we expect the "police" in Iraq to protect the towns and innocent citizens, to become a unified Iraq if they won't govern and police their own country? This soldier is dead serious-they leave it to our men. And we can't be there forever--- fighting for them -to take back their own country.
There is no religion higher than TRUTH!!!With soldiers like this,Im so proud to be an American!!!USA USA USA!!!God be with them...no matter where they go...Amen
Good job soldier. At least he is telling it like it is.
In a turn of events we will return in a few short years with the curent presidents actions. I can't wait; I love going to Afghanistan and Iraq! I get to fly into hot zones to drop off and pick up the GRUNTS. OOORAH.
Go America! This is exactly how the Iraqi's are. LAZY...EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES is all they have. Unless you have been there you DON'T have an opinion...unless it is to SUPPORT our US troops. If you want an opinion...then put your boots on get your ass to Iraqi...that goes for all the damn politicians too! I did and I am proud of it and my husband is still there doing the thankless job!
So mongo56, I guess we should just sit around with our thumbs up our asses and wait for 1,000,000 Americans to be killed on our own turf. They killed 2700 in their last attack. I guess the Japanese didn't deserve to have their asses handed to them either. Follow your leader into the apocalypse...I won't. You're a loser.
Well, in relation to the video, FUCK all of those who dont support this man! Those who dont probably never even got an ass whooping as a kid. LISTEN to what he is saying, our AMERICAN troops are dying for these lazy fucks who dont even want to defend their own! What is he supposed to do? Pat them on the back and tell them everything will be ok? Fuck that. I spent 12 years in the Air Force, and was active during desert storm, I lived in Saudi Arabia for two years as a civilian, lemme tell ya, these people are fucking lazy! Some times you have to motivate people the only way you can, the only way they will understand, and he is doing a fine damn job of it. As far as those who are talking shit about this soldier, Ill bet you wouldnt say a fucking word if you were standing in front of him because you know he whould kick your ass all the way back to your mommas womb. Support the troops, even if you dont support the war. USA!!

This speech is well within the context of the culture. Having had to train and motivate Afghan police myself, I completely understand what this soldier is trying to accomplish and what he is dealing with. Although I do agree with Alpha1six that he should have counseled the leadership seperately.
Truthteller: You say you're from PA and went to school there, and that you are a High School Principal. I wouldn't imagine that you ever had to try and motivate Islamic law enforcement personnel. Until you go over there yourself, and put your butt on the line, keep handing out hall passes and detention slips and stow it, tough guy.
While the motivational speech was probably in order it must be delivered within the context of the culture involved. While this speech might motivate US troops it may not be effective in other cultures.
I don't know what the rank of the soldier is but he has forgotten one of the key rules of good leaderhip. DO NOT humiliate or chastise leaders in front of their troops. You destroy their ability to lead when you do that .
He should have motivated the the NCO's,officers and troops in seperate meetings.
This was succinct and truthful. This type message needs to be done more often in my opinion. This marine should be given some
kind of commendation. Our U.S. troops risk their lives daily and
definitely need the Iraqui police forces to step up and take charge, as this is their country.
Family Physician - Dallas, Texas
warwife: you're a fraud...I was duped...I actually believed you at first...you have no husband in the military you lying wannabe bitch...I on the other hand, actually DO have a family member in the Army in Iraq in the form of my younger brother...this guy was and still is a pussy with a big mouth...and nope, I'm not hanging onto high school...the ironic thing is I'm a principal AT a high school...(you need education for that, so that kind of disqualifies you)...wouldn't you like to know which high school so that your fraud-ass could "report me" because of my profanity, you stupid, fraudulent bitch! Quit saying your husband's in the military and move out of your parents' basement..."WARWIFE"...what a joke! Also, throw your underwear out...it's stinking the basement up.
Sounds like the first motivational 'speech' I received in boot camp as a tender young marine. It worked, even many years later, I can still hear it in my head when my subordinates or I fail to get a task accomplished.
So, Dear Iraqi Police; Get some pride in your country, grow a pair, and go do unto them as they have done unto you! Ooh-freakin'-rah!
Dude06:
You already went down to that level when you demeaned the men and women fighting a war that you are obviously not involved in.
And truthteller: Are you STILL hanging onto the character of a guy you knew in HIGHSCHOOL??? You truly are a loser. This guy moved on in his life and is a warrior for our country, and you hang on to wrestling meets? Who's the loser? How's that meth lab working out for ya?
And NO one here has commented about what probably happened right before this "lecture" was taped: What set this guy off, huh? Oh, maybe a few people being killed because these lazy-ass "cops" didn't do their job? Who knows. Selective editing, I guess. You people who cut these warriors down should join the military and go to the front lines of war and teach us ALL how to fight a war, because you are obviously more intelligent than the folks doing the REAL job.
Come on, pussies. Enlist. Prove you know better.
It's called WAR, and Tony Robbins ain't going to win THIS one.
I think this is great, awww is he demeaning them, oh no poor babies. We as american soldiers are dying over there for them and they dont even want to protect themselves. I think he had a complete right to say what he said in the manner he said it. Good for him, Whoever posted this GOOD FOR YOU. -prior marine
Wow, allot of heated discussion here, interesting. I am not one to arm chair quarter back someone, but I must say, I don't think this guy was out of line. I've been in for 15 year, seven of those years in civil affairs, where we deal with host nation civilians all the time. Sometimes, an approach like this is warranted, not all the time mind you, but sometimes it takes an approach like this to get people to wake up. People are motivated in all kinds of ways, men in Iraq and Afghanistan will respond to people challenging their manhood, and will respect those who exhibit strength. This has been a part of their culture for thousands of years; one need only read accounts of the wars fought with the Greeks and later the Crusaders of Europe. While this motivational speech may come across as crass, inappropriate or even ineffective to some it more than likely produced positive results. This work no longer falls within my line of duty, (although I may end up on a MiTT team after AVCCC), I still like to do informal area assessments of the places I serve in. I fly Apache Longbows now, so for all my brothers on the ground, call anytime, we will always be there for you when you need us. You guys are the true heroes of these Wars and I'll always be happy to be there for you when it counts.
Dude6- Are you serious? I am pretty sure you just compared the IA/IP to US troops. No I wouldnt talk to my guys that way. But being the linguist/cultural expert you are, I am sure you understand the concept of "wasta". And I am pretty sure this guy just took all of it from these warriors and more importantly the leaders. In 03/04 I couldnt trust ICDC on guard to even stay awake, they didnt leave the wire. I was paired with an IA BN in 05/06 in Lutifiyeh, and yeah, multi sigacts were daily. You had to hold their hand to get them out the gate, and in contact wait for their "death blossom" to finish to maneuver. I own battlespace in Yusifiyeh currently, and yeah, the shooting stopped, occasional IED etc... so I get to handle things like 7 statements from LN females of rape by IA officers, this week. Dude, where did you find all your high speed jundee? I need to get some of those. With your comments I had you pegged for a green beanie wearer that worked with those few actual great IAs that there are... maybe a DIV or BDE MiTT, but this is the 3rd trip and I aint seeing what youre seeing. Irish_Rogue kinda cleared up if you was an 18 series or not. But youre right, my arabic sucks, so I will have my terp check it out tomorrow for you. So, after all the talk, I guess it all comes down to if you hugged your haj today for some folks...
Irish_Rogue- Good stuff brother, you're on it.
There is always a time and place for PC chatting, this was not the time or place. I have trained Afghans and Iraqis and both are lazy (I know it is a laid back life style). However sometimes PC chatting does not do it, insulting or making one feel that they are not proper men over there does the trick well. So to all that get mad so be it, pick up a rifle and follow me on a mission where I am to trust the IA and police, if they do not fear you they will kill you! 18E 17yrs of combat and this soldier was spot on.
warwife:
your husband's service is to be commended--nobody here dogged your husband...my younger brother is in Iraq right now--he's the reason I registered on this...he didn't "used to be" in Iraq...he's there now, protecting you and me...
though he's not in the same area as this soldier from New Jersey, we both know him...he's simply not respected...the U.S. isn't about phony, macho bravado...which all this guy is about...I just find it hilarious that he threatens the one guy that he'll "beat the fuck out of him" when anyone that knows him knows he couldn't beat a disabled four year old...he's a phony in all his macho talk!
Oooh, dude6, it sounds like you might have had a "special"friend over in Iraq. Were you nice to him? Hmmm?
Anyone who's been to Iraq(not me, my husband) knows that the Iraqi men hump each other like rabbits.
Now I know why you talked "nice" to them.
I bet they respected THAT.
Your comments are so out of touch with what's going on over there that it's obvious you NEVER set foot in Iraq you phony.
Or maybe you're an officer with a beef and got your ass kicked out. You're not there NOW. vanorden says he IS there. Why don't you talk to him about what's really going on, boy?
Oh, and you speak Arabic? Hell, they're begging for soldiers who speak that language. Why aren't you in Iraq now? Did you get demoted? Or were you just "upset" at the way that the poor poor Iraqis were being talked to? Do you think the military needs to take anger management classes?
Sounds like to me that dude6 might be a washout wannabe, and by default will always strive to put down those that really do achieve?....(I'm sure you're intelligent enough to pickup on the sarcasm).
Sounds like to me that dude6 might be a washout wannabe, and by default will always stive to put down those that really do achieve?....(I'm sure you're intelligent enough to pickup on the sarcasm).
vanorden, green1 and warwife, Iâve only served with a few Iraqi Army and police units, so I probably donât have the vast wealth of experience that you do. Iâm sure youâve led more Iraqis into more firefights than I have and so Iâll defer to your expertise when it comes to motivating Iraqis. (Iâm sure youâre intelligent enough to pickup on the sarcasm.)
warwife, thanks for the name calling, Iâm sure you have more combat awards than I do.
vanorden, itâs great to know that youâre a combat leader. Consider how your soldiers would react to a speech such as this. Iâm sure you find more intelligent ways to lead your men. No matter how frustrated you become there should always be a filter between what you want to say and what you really sayâ¦itâs called maturity, and Iâm sure you have it.
green1, itâs not political correctness that Iâm advocating, itâs maturity and effective combat leadership.
As a side note, you may want to take Arabic classes and listen very closely to the video. But then again, Iâm sure you speak much better Arabic than me.
Polictical Correctness? No time for that in war, especially when you risk your life daily. I have been there and I believe everyone else who has been in this man's shoes would agree with his approach. Truthteller...If you beat this guy in wrestling in HS, congratulations, you the man. While you're still reminiscing about HS wrestling, this man has moved on and is protecting his country. For dude6...yes, some Iraqis are honest, loyal, and hardworking, but Islamic extremism has captured the loyalties of others. If you don't know this, then you need to wisen up. Any of you who criticize this Soldier's methods and delivery need to walk in his shoes before you pass judgement. For the haters...The freedom that we risk our life to provide you with, you use to ridicule us. How's that for a thanks?
vanorden:
Way to tell the loser posters, man. My husband was over there for 3 plus years, and Iraqis are the laziest, stupidest people he's ever had to deal with in his life. They won't do what you tell them to, and then they complain that you've "insulted" them. The only thing they respond to is FORCE. And that guy fed 'em a mouthful. By the way, vanorden: Thank you for your service. Truthteller and Dude6 are pussies and wouldn't even make it through basic training without shitting themselves.
Ftheusa... unless you have walked in this mans shoes, your opinion is worthless. This is real world, not your classroom. The constitution is an incredible document, but flawed. It should read privilege of speech, not freedom, a privilege provided by men like the one you saw. What do you believe in? Is anything worth your miserable life? I am here in Iraq now, again, and you and about half our population are no better than these ungrateful worthless whelps. I have defended my nation almost 20 years now, and gladly... But folks like you make me question why at times. And Dude6, ya fobbit, apparently you never worked with any Iraqi, and in case you wonder, as an Infantry Platoon Sergeant, I lead daily from the front.
by the way...I won't say his name since I don't know if it's known by many and I don't want to make him a marked man, but he wrestled (or tried to) in high school in Pennsylvania...again, he was a friggin' tool shed...biggest mouth, biggest puss...maybe he thought by talking tough he'd kind of somehow BECOME tough...sorry, you're a loser...still...and I hope you read this because you'll know who it is...the guy that kicked your azz all over the wrestling room your junior and senior year...:)
this guy's a pussy himself...real tough guy...I kicked his pussy ass in high school (he could never break the starting lineup in wrestling), and he complained to the coach that I was throwing "dirty crossfaces" on him...it cracks me up, watching him, knowing how he really is...he got beat up a lot because of his mouth, and he couldn't back that mouth up...EVER!
Ftheusa !!!!
You need to get your momma suckin ass out of the usa.
Dude If you lived in ANY other place in the world you wouldn't have the freedom to say what you just did.
Withoy=ut the USA you would not have a computer or the know how to use one.
So pack your ass up and go to IRAQ and tell that commander off!
or you too chicken shit like those Iraqis to do anything but sit on your ass and bitch......
Ftheusa - You make me nauseous. I bet you received a trophy in everything you ever did as a child just for participating, even if you sucked at it. So as not to offend your delicate senses.
Also, please do not use the possessive pronoun âOURâ relative to the US Military ever again. It implies an entitlement that you are certainly not deserving of. In fact, you are not deserving of the steam off this soldiers turds!
This guy is an absolute idiot. He is an expert when it comes to turning Iraqis against Americans. (I'm sure the insurgency appreciates his efforts on their behalf.) He also has the leadership ability of a 13 year old-all testosterone and no brains. (Either you agree with me or we'll fight.) Who trained this clown? He obviously hasn't done any studying concerning how tomotivate subordinates. He's also stuck using the same tactics that led to the terrible results of the first three-plus years of the war. This punk hasn't learned anything.
For you non-thinkers who think he's the greatest thing since Patton, then you've probably never led men in combat and you certainly don't know much about Patton.
OBTW, I've seen Iraqis fight and serve under conditions that most Americans probably wouldn't.
Damn straight - Skippy. WTF is wrong those Iraqi pricks. Get up off ur ass and fight. Hell - After hearing that dude deliver that speech , I want to go shoot some terrorist ass.
Why this dude wasting his talent in Iraqi? - Run for president, u got my vote.
Those so called police - why didn't one of them show some damn backbone, stand up , show self respect and show leadership. Instead they stood there not saying a word. Sad bunch a pussies. But if that is a representation of their mentality, I bet the terrorist pussies aren't that much different from these idiots. They seem to be the same damn people (as this fine soldier eluded at the start of his speech) Hell- if you don't man up when a foreigner is calling u a pussy, damn u really are a pussy. Pathetic
Ftheusa, if you live in the USA, get the fuck out you piece of shit! Its liberal pukes like you that are bringing this great nation to its knees by stopping GREAT LEADERS like this soldier from doing just this....TELLING IT LIKE IT IS! You can't handle that, tough shit! Im ashamed to think that men like this will put their lives in peril for assholes like you!
Its wonderful to hear a real man talking. Our forces are risking their lives every day over there, to keep the fight from coming here, and what do they get for it. Cowardly b***s*** excuses.
Too bad he didn't run for president!
Fuck this fucking piece of shit.... Obviously the scum in our military have no respect human life what-so-ever.. Who the fuck is he to speak others like that...
WOW!!! I am glad as hell we have hard ass fighters like that guy on our side. War is scary, I don't have first hand experience at this but 20 years of racing motocross is as close to it as I care to come. I wrote an article "War Without Tears" for a bike mag that was also printed in Stars n Stripes twice, I love my soldiers and always thank them when I see them on the streets. I suggest the rest of us follow suit. I gathered my family last Sunday and told them to listen, they said "Listen to what?" I said, "Exactly...listen to the silence. There are no bombs and guns going off. Thank a soldier for that." They got the message.

I salute you sir! The USA desparetly needs more truth-tellers with backbone like this brave soldier and less mealy-mouth, politically correct, liberal, anti-American woosies, shooting their mouths off about how we bully other nations and hurt their little feelings. I'm damn sick of our boys dying for people in other courtries who wouldn't lift a finger to fight for their own freedom. He had, no, he earned the right to say what he did AND how he said it.
This is what america needs. Truth. It hurts to hear the truth but I bet your asses wont be sugar coating it on the front line. That man over there is one the front line. He should be able to say whatever is on his mind and speak the truth. No president is over there, no major leaders. When youthink about it his ass is manning up and he at some point whats to get home to his own family, Until he places some balls on those other men then He aint coming. He has been there too long and is sick and tired of doing it your political ass way. I say give them all the same talk, pack up your bags and come home. They wont have a choice but to fight. They have guns just like us. Start manning up for their own country. If they get in battle and combat an begin to lose, we will help but unitl you are wiling to die for your own then we shouldnt be involved. How about Our troops go in after theirs instead of first?

I am a military brat married to combat veteran and have always supported the troops serving their country.
I am also a law enforcement professional who knows many cops who are serving overseas helping to train police in war torn countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo on the principles of democratic policing. I have done some training overseas myself.
The US soldier in this video is an embarrassment to his country. His insulting harange is totally counterproductive to a vital part of the US mission, which is to win hearts and minds and be role models to the rest of the world. Hopefully his language assistant had the sense to not do an exact translation. I can understand his frustration but there are much smarter, more professional ways of doing business. His comparison of his soldier's bravery and the "cowardice" of the IP is comparing apples and oranges. The IP have to live there for the rest of their lives and they have families living there they have to think of. It's easier to be brave when you are there for only a short time and your family is safely 8000 miles away. Americans have no idea of the danger of death and reprisals that citizens and their family members in these countries face every day. The police especially are targets as much as they are enforcers. The line of duty death rate for the IP is astronomically higher than here in the USA so it's absolutely not true that refuse to risk their lives. I'm sure the IP realize that the USA could yank troops out of there at any time, then where would they be? What happened to the South Vietnamese who cooperated with the USA once we bailed on them? The politics of these situations is incredily complicated. This soldier needs to be transported back the USA where he can air his simplistic views with less harm. Kudos to the vast majority of US troops who do conduct themselves in a professional manner that does credit to the US.
If the USA has gotten itself into situations where we are trying futiley to help those who won't help themselves then policies need to be rexamined. However, any mistakes the politicians might be making does NOT excuse unprofessional, abusive conduct by warriors who are supposed to be professional and should know better.
Heart spoken, and why they are there " To help those how don't want to be helped"
From a Canadian to an American I have to say " God Bless America'
keep up the good work my western brothers.
Godspeed ..... from Jiggy the crazy cunuck
Sadly, we are the world police. I dealt with the same mentality in Afghanistan with the ANP (Afghan National Police). Some of those pieces of shit would fly a taliban flag by night and an Afghan flag by day or whenever we came around.
They'll take all the free crap (rice, tea, cooking oil, blankets et al.) you give them, say "yes sir! yes sir" to every goddamned thing you say, and then run like school girls at the first sign of a fight. Worse, they'll LET the TB fuckers pass their checkpoint to come and blow us up.
Hell, I admire those taliban bastards for their desire to fight and die if nothing else.
It's simply not in their genes to stick it out there for ANYBODY or ANYTHING, not even themselves much less some sense of greater nationalist pride.
The only thing that motivates them is money or violence. That's the way they were raised. Threaten to beat the shit out of them or hand over a wad of cash and they'll do whatever you say.
We need a war hero like this to be our next President. I make my nomination based on this video:Though, he's too good of a man to take it.
I've already had enough of lawyer-Presidents.
God Bless Our Troops.
This is how shit can get done. Motivational speech like that makes people think about the mission. Hopefully those Iraqi police realize that its time for them to gear up and march on.. Mission First, People Always....HOOYAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
These Iraqi Police remind me of the South Vietnamese soldiers - wanted the US to do their job for them - to paraphrase a joke from that war "Wanna buy an Iraqi police weapon? Never fired and only dropped once!".
wwwinans....you have absolutly no idea what you are talking about..weak mind? are you serious?....as a leader of marines i have given and recieved that same speach..I have lost men in battle and benn back on partol within the hour....and i've never lost my cool in a fire fight....tell me i have a weak mind becaus i say the word f@ck a lot...nothing like some foul language and person insults to light a fire under someones ass
Loved the Mission, but is this what we are reduced to for intelligent role models? Every other word was the f-bomb, and is a sign of a weak mind. His intent was AWESOME.
